What’s Actually in It

Unrefined cocoa butter sits at the center of this bar, and if you’ve never smelled true unrefined cocoa butter, you’re in for something. It carries its own deep, almost dessert-like warmth straight from the bean, long before any fragrance is added. Grass-fed beef tallow follows close behind, an ancestral ingredient your skin recognizes instantly because its fatty acid makeup mirrors what your own skin already produces. Mango seed butter and apricot kernel oil add glide and silk, fractionated coconut oil keeps everything melting evenly, and rice bran wax gives the bar its structure, holding firm in your hand until the second it meets warm skin.

Our Signature Touch

Hidden inside the tallow itself is something most lotion bars skip entirely: whole, organic Madagascar vanilla bean, slow infused directly into the fat before it ever meets a drop of fragrance. Hold the bar to the light and you’ll see the proof scattered across its surface, tiny dark flecks that mean this scent didn’t come from a bottle. It came from a bean.

A Note on Fragrance

Every fragrance in this collection is put through a complete safety data sheet review before it ever reaches a finished product. Each ingredient is checked against reproductive toxicity risk, sensitization potential, and skin safety data, and anything that does not meet a strict nontoxic standard is removed from consideration, no exceptions, regardless of how popular or well-loved a scent might be.

Most of what we test never makes it onto this page. What remains is the handful that passed.

Pineapple Coconut Bliss — Pineapple opens this one up bright and juicy, almost sparkling, before coconut settles underneath it like cream poured over fresh fruit. A soft touch of mango rounds out the middle, keeping it from tipping too sweet or too sharp. It smells like the inside of a piña colada without any of the syrup, vacation in a bar, but wearable enough for a Tuesday. This solid lotion bar is hand poured, wrapped in muslin cloth, and nestled into a 6 oz tin. Designed to fit perfectly into the palm of your hand, each bar weighs a full, honest 2.66 oz on average.

Want to take it with you? The same formula is also available in a travel size, hand poured at .87 oz and tucked into a muslin drawstring bag inside a 2 oz tin, small enough for a carry-on, a gym bag, or a gift box, without giving up a thing on quality.

Because warm weather and natural fats don’t always get along, every order ships with ice packs during summer months to protect your bar in transit. We recommend applying it right after a shower while your skin is still warm, since a little goes much further than you’d expect.
